I visited Taiaroa Head today, and was lucky enough to capture this fella on the long trek up hill to the nest. Apparently these are the rarest of the worlds 18 varieties of penguins, there are only 5-6,000 in the wild and they're only found in NZ.
We have finally arrived and settled in to the deep south. There are so many stunning old buildings around and this is a fine example of one in beautiful Port Chalmers, NZ.
Hi there,
It's fun checking out the garden to see what wild life is lurking, the scenery on my travels, or simply the weather.
I am using a Canon EOS 1000D digital camera.
