A Sunset.

I thought it was time to have a change from the all the wild life pics. We're waiting for the wet season to arrive so we can see, and hopefully capture some great lightning displays.

I'm having difficulty getting ID's on some of these birds, so I'm happy to be corrected if any of them are wrong.

Butterflies.

Isn't it amazing what goes on at the neighbours? .........

Dragonfly.

These were at a beautiful croc - free river, where we even went paddling. They have such intricately patterned wings.

Mud Crab.

Low tide at Port Stewart was a fascinating place. These crabs are small, but have only one very large orange claw.

Mud Skipper.

It was fun watching these scoot around the mud and the water at Port Stewart yesterday.

Archer River Causeway.

A really beautiful area, which was covered by 2m of water not long after we left there and after it had rain for a couple of hours.

Country Airstrip.

This is a private cattle station airstrip, which is being used until the main strip is rebuilt. We had to drive around it to make sure there were no cattle lurking. The raised bits are ant hills.

Galahs.

These would have to be my favourite birds, they're clowns, and always entertaining.
