The Beak.


The difference in the size of their beaks at rest to fully open is quite amazing, and they are reasonably graceful when flying.

This is close to the oyster farm where they'd taken over and blocked off one entire arm of the river!

Hooligan .....


...... of the bird world. These Galahs are so serious when they're hunched over eating, but they're entertaining to watch fooling around. Farmers don't like them as they eat much of the seed they've just sown.
