I'm playing with the macro setting on my camera at present. This old parking post makes an interesting abstract.

Young Magpie.

This nest was out in the open on a large metal cage, very unusual to see this.

...... no it's an optical illusion, he was quite a long way from the windmills. Apparently these guys are putting baits in nests to knock out the crow population!

There has been a lot happening around here of late. New photos are going to be slow appearing, but I will keep them coming as often as I'm able.

I like being able to photograph this type of image, it leaves you wondering what it is like in daylight.

This house is surrounded by grape vines.

I always forget the name of these flowers but they always remind me of an egg.

It's such a shame we don't have these fellas around here.

Large Goanna.

Such beautiful creatures. Hopefully this one is still safe, the locals are very partial to eating them and they wanted to know where this one was seen. That information remained with us.

Gate.

I've always been interested in farm gates, the variety and the ingenuity.

Twin Lambs.

These two are really making the most of the sun and it's warmth.

It's always amazing how quickly lambs grow up.

Frog Profile.

They always appear very content with their lot.

Cattle Drive.

This is a very small group out of several thousand head of cattle being moved in close to 40 deg C heat.

So Ugly.

Cane toads are not the most beautiful creatures, especially with the beautiful green frog next to it.

"I Love This Tree."

I'm not sure why this camel was enjoying this particular tree, he was there for ages.

Dragonflies.

It amazes me to see them flying being joined like this.

Noisy Miners.

These are entertaining birds and very easily tamed.

Certainly NOT! Being close to feral and with that look in your eye.

Unusual colours, but it was beautifully warm.

A lorikeet just out from under the sprinkler. I needed to brighten this place up a little.

And boy are they so cute!  There are a lot running around here at present, and the best time is in the evening when they all run around in groups.

In one of the dams around here, and it's hard to see where the reflections take over.

This is Chicken Little who is the youngest of the pack and possibly the father of the chicks.

I wasn't quick enough to get many shots of the chicks on their mum, but they are cute.
