I've had a few things go very sideways in my life this last while, but I'm starting to take my camera with me again which is a good sign.

It almost looks as if the hills are steaming.

I was about 200m away when I captured these ducks settling down in the paddock, and they were not at all phased when the sheep came to investigate.

Bright Dawn.

This is the most alive dawn we've had in some time, well, maybe the first I've seen for a while.

Butterfly Slides Of Leaf.

It is amazing to watch these butterflies climbing to the top of the plant to dry their wings. This one kept sliding off the smaller leaves, but as soon as it stopped, off it would go again.

Newly Hatched Butterfly.

Lately the monarchs have been hatching late afternoon, and are still there in the morning waiting for the sun to help dry them.

Wet Chrysalis.

The rain droplets and the morning sun on it certainly changes it's appearance, almost warty.

The butterfly is about to hatch.

The Brother.

My favourite, I love his wrinkled brow.

Pup Siblings.

I love the butterfly or bow ties on their chests on these two who are waiting for their mobile kennel to move.

Monarch Caterpillar.

This caterpillar has just starting to become a chrysalis, you can see where the curled end is changing colour.

Feral Lurker.

I spotted this feral kitten through my study window and I'm taken with how cute it is.

Different View.

They certainly change looking at them front on, their eyes are more interesting.

Pet Magpie.

The third generation of youngsters we have had visit for a few snacks and to entertain us with their bird song. This one has wandered in to the fridge if we don't come to him soon enough and sits on the clothesline chatting away while we hang the clothes.

I do enjoy watching these very skilled pilots at work, and I notice there are a few magpies out and about.
