32 Monarch chrysalids due to hatch any day and caterpillars of various sizes all safe in their enclosure, haven't lost one to wasps so am very pleased with my first attempt.
Don't worry LOL, I am on duty hourly. I discovered that bloody ants will take the eggs (which I didn't know) I have swan plants in the garden which aren't covered and I noticed the eggs kept 'disappearing'. I finally caught the buggers swarming all over one of the plants after an egg laying session.
I plan to track something lethal down tomorrow. I have some ant traps which I also might use. I have already wiped out a big nest which I found lurking under a big stone but there seems to be ants everywhere here (except in the house thank heavens) :(
LOL!!!! Of course I used Raid on the big nest..... I love Raid almost as much as Michael and they have just produced a new super-duper one spray kill which I immediately bought.
Hi there,
It's fun checking out the garden to see what wild life is lurking, the scenery on my travels, or simply the weather.
I am using a Canon EOS 1000D digital camera.

Any comments/tech hints etc are welcome.

That's great news Medusa! See if you can watch them hatching, it's a wonderful sight :)

Oh NO! Have you tried some of that ant rid stuff around the base of the plants?

They don't like fly spray much either! Good luck with it, I know how upsetting it is to lose something like that!

Haha, we're going through a bit of spray on those horrible little sticky flies at present. Mind you, the flies were worse in NZ than they are here!
But, but, but......... I thought Oz was fly central??? LOL
Medusa
Haha, depends where you are, we're lucky here I guess.
We had those cluster flies in Marsterton, horrid things they are and so hard to get rid of.
