I've always wondered how photographers capture lightning. Do you simply anticipate that it's coming and hope you snap a picture at the same time as the lightning, or must you simply have "lightning fast" reflexes?
The lightning lasted so long where this was taken, it was almost continual. I missed capturing the forks!! This was hand held, you do need a cable release to hold the shutter open and definitely need a tripod.
