We came across this little fella in the middle of a busy highway in the Northern Territory, so we stopped to put it back in the trees at the side of the road.

Aw good on you for doing that.. i'm sure the bird was grateful in its own little way..
Was probably scared out of its skin when you first pulled up though. :)
He was a tad scared mk, and petrified when he was picked up! But we couldn't just leave him to be run over, besides, I think they're delightful birds.
Gecko's just a softy--I'd have simply run over him.
