This is a much loved NZ bird, and very difficult to photograph. Luckily I was standing at the kitchen window with my camera when it kindly perched on the tree outside :)

Leaving On A Jet Plane ......

.... This will be us in about 4 days time, yehaaa, roll on some warmth and sunshine!!!!

The new camera arrived this morning, so I had time for a few practice shots before sleeping ........ love it!! but it's going to take a bit of getting used to :)
