Yes, they're sweet, but dumb as rocks. I had one build a nest on the low wall surrounding my courtyard right next to my front screen door. When I'd leave or come home, I'd be careful to close the door gently, and I started saying hello and goodbye to her. Even named her Jasmine, because there happened to be a jasmine bush along the aforementioned wall.
Unfortunately, Jasmine's eggs got nabbed by a neighborhood cat...
